It's not an exaggeration to say that pranayama (breath) is one of the most powerful tools in Yoga. You can adapt your breath in postures to change your physiology. Seated Pranayama, if practiced regularly is transformative. Pranayama helps change the energy in your system. It can build energy when it's depleted, eliminate energy when it's excessive, or balance energy when it's all over the place. At any stage of life it's helpful, but it's most helpful during mid-life when you're balancing the many hats you wear on a daily basis. Sometimes a little support would be nice and breathing is right at your front door! Pranayama is a tool that can support daily life and it also calms the fluctuations of the mind (thousands of thoughts!) in preparation for meditation. Join Jen Peterson 500Hr E-RYT and Reiki Master for an enlightening and embodying workshop on breath. Students will learn breath adaptation for postures and accessible Pranayama techniques to enhance their yoga practice and transform their lives! This workshop is best suited for people who practice yoga 1-2/wk or more.
