One-to-One Support All the Way

When we feel whole, we are happy and able to live our lives to the fullest.

When we are feeling unable to handle life’s inevitable challenges and when we feel physically limited and unable to move or breathe well, then we forget that within each of us is a core essence that is inextinguishably whole.

When you sign up for the Whole You Yoga Package, I’m there with you as a support and guide all along the way to remembering and nurturing your wholeness and cultivating your resilience. I take the time to really understand you and your body and lead you through a practice that is specifically designed to meet your needs and to ensure maximum benefit—benefit that lasts the rest of your life.

I offer therapeutic practices to help shift movement, breath and thought patterns to reduce chronic pain, boost healing from injury, and reduce anxiety and overwhelm in your life.

WHAT TO EXPECT

One-to-One Support

10 Private Sessions and Unlimited Email and Phone Access!

I will be your guide—and your accountability coach.  It takes commitment, dedication—and on average 66 days to have a new behavior become a habit.  Plus, we often aren’t aware that we are stuck in dysfunctional habits of movement, breath, or thought.

That’s why 10 sessions is the minimum amount of time we need together to make the transformation you desire. As you grow and achieve your goals we will have the time to develop new practices to continue to deepen your practice.

With this package, I’ll hold the space and provide the tools, wisdom, and cheerleading for you to explore and increase your awareness of what habits and patterns aren’t serving you anymore and then to successfully start a lifetime practice that helps shift those habits to more functional ones – and increases your happiness factor tenfold.

I’m there for you when you need me.

Vermont Online Private Yoga Lesson

With unlimited phone calls and emails, I’m available anytime you need me to answer questions about the practice and to support your experience, which many people find very helpful as they begin their practice and develop their awareness of the impact of yoga on their body, breathe and minds.

Working with me one-to-one, you don’t need to worry about how you look or how flexible you are. You don’t have to compare yourself to others as we can sometimes do in group classes. Sessions can take place at my Bristol, Vermont yoga studio or on-line.

One of the silver linings of the pandemic has been the upgrade in my ability to connect with clients outside of Vermont. Through my private sessions and classes I’m connecting with people from all over the US, Canada and even Ireland!

Lifetime Takeaways and Support

Customized Sequences and 3 Session Recordings

VT Private Yoga Lesson

This is a package that keeps on giving well beyond 10 sessions. As we work together, I will assess your goals and abilities and provide you with practices that you will practice at home between our sessions.  These practices will reflect your progress as you practice and you begin to transform your life. You will be able to keep these for your personal use whenever you need them.

A yoga teacher I know once said that a led practice with a teacher is like going out to dinner and being waited on and practicing at home is like making your own dinner and doing your dishes.  Home practice and the connection you can make with yourself alone on the mat is very powerful. But I know how great it feels to let someone else lead the way—cook and feed you the gourmet meal as it were. It feels supported and nurturing when your teacher’s voice guides you each breath of the way.

That’s why I’m including in this practice the opportunity to record 3 of our sessions together so that you have that ability to feel nurtured even at home. It’s also an opportunity to be reminded of cues that I’ve chosen based on watching your practice that I think will help you shift unhelpful movement patterns and receive maximum benefit.

With both of these forever takeaways, I will continue to be with you every step of the way well beyond our sessions together!

For years, people encouraged me to try yoga but frankly I was resistant. I decided to try one session with Jen. Once led to twice which has led to weekly yoga sessions because I could feel that my body was becoming more flexible, I had better balance and I gained upper body strength. Jen is thoughtful about tailoring her instruction to meet my strengths and weaknesses. I leave the sessions feeling more graceful, peaceful and patient with myself and others.

Your Pace and Your Lifestyle

The program is, of course, tailored to your needs and timeline but here’s a recommended timeline and what this package might look like when we work together:

Month 1 - Four sessions 1-2/wk, including a 90-minute intake session. In these sessions I will lead you through tailored practices and with your feedback we will develop a plan for a home-based practice with a practices designed to target your specific needs and goals.

Months 2 - 3 You will get a new, customized practices based our work together and what you know you can commit to, for you to practice at home daily or as often as you are able.  We will have a one-to-one session every other week to check-in, talk about results, and make adaptations to perfect your unique practice.

I say that Jen’s sessions are like going to church—a spiritual experience for me. Physically, I’m more flexible than I was as a sixteen-year-old athlete and I’m almost eighty. My back and knee pain are significantly reduced. It’s more than a class, it’s a multi-faceted practice.

Why You Should Work One-to-One with Me

Yoga is for Everybody But Not Every Practice is for Every Body

People often ask me what the benefit is in doing yoga one-to-one with me. It's a great question and there are many reasons.

Yoga is mostly practiced in group settings in the West, but it was originally taught one-to-one, teacher to student, and study and practice was tailored to that individual. I firmly believe that yoga is for everybody but I know from experience that not every practice is for every body. Here are just a few reasons to consider private yoga sessions for yourself or a loved one:

  • Getting started. If you are new to yoga or are returning from a hiatus, I can assist you in learning and adapting basic principles to ensure you can participate in group classes safely and confidently.

  • Addressing individual concerns.  Yoga has the power to help you heal from chronic pain, injury, stress, anxiety, depression and even addiction. I can guide you in developing a practice that meets your specific needs and goals.

  • Developing a home practice.  Home practice does not have to be a huge time commitment. Together we can create a 15-20 minute practice for you to do every day in your own home.

  • Integrating your practice. Yoga is actually a fully integrated spiritual practice including poses, breathwork, meditation, and chanting. If that's appealing to you, I can guide you in going beyond the poses and amplifying the benefits of yoga off the mat and into your whole life.

  • Replenish and renew. In a world increasingly designed to demand our constant attention and a pervasive sense of poverty of time, I can offer a safe and quiet place to let go and find nourishing stillness within.

  • Deepening your practice.  I can offer you refinements and sequences to take your practice to the next level.
